Churning: When hypertension meds finish, go to GP, stop getting PPUM to handle this.

Purpose:
- CT Scan
- Cystoscopy
- Ultrasound
Results: Nature of mass can’t be determined, not connected to any organ but it is compressing several of them; Example, Bladder is only holding about ~250ml of urine as compared to the average (400ml-500ml)
Due to the uncertainty of this, Dr Goh of PCMC recommends to go for Public Healthcare as compared to Private due to the costs that may be incurred trying to identify and/or treat this.
Email sent out to Doctor in regards to my concerns
Following your suggestion, I am considering the government route for further evaluation. I would like to better understand the mass and determine its nature before proceeding with any further steps. To help me make an informed decision, I have a few questions:
- When I saw the mass on the screen, it appeared quite large—though my recollection might not be precise. Could you please provide an approximate measurement of the mass?
- Since we now know the mass is not part of the bladder, which medical specialty should I consult at HKL? Should I still consider urology, or is there another discipline that might be more appropriate?
- The previous doctors at PPUM mentioned that my hypertension is not complying to medication, is it possible that there is a link?
- Have you encountered a similar case with any of your previous patients?
- Reflecting on my experience, I realize that if I hadn’t undergone the ultrasound last year, I might not have noticed this at all. Could you advise on any specific symptoms or effects I should be aware of during this investigative process?
